About

The firm

Trust transfers with the individual, not the platform.

MotusBridge was founded on a single conviction: durable outcomes come from the patient cultivation of the right relationships, not from transaction volume.

The firm exists to connect two parties who need each other and have not found each other — an asset and the counterparty who would value it, a company and the buyers it has not yet learned to reach. In both cases what we deliver is not the connection itself but the judgment and discipline that make the connection land.

That is why the work is structured the way it is. A small number of engagements. A gate at every stage. And an honest answer about what is actually true, delivered before anyone has spent credibility they cannot recover.

Founder

Christopher J. Presley
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Christopher has spent twenty-three years in institutional financial services, most recently in senior business development at a global custodian, selling an institutional platform into treasury, operations, and risk functions at some of the largest institutions in the market.

That experience is the foundation of how MotusBridge works. Institutional deals are not won in the first meeting. They are won — or lost — months later, in vendor risk review, procurement, and compliance, where most commercial efforts have never been tested. Having carried a number through those processes is a different qualification from having advised on them.

He holds the IE Brown Executive MBA and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Minnesota. MotusBridge Partners is based in San Francisco.

The MotusBridge cantilever mark

The name and the mark

Motus is the movement across the span

Motus is Latin for motion. Not motion in the abstract — movement across something. The crossing itself.

A bridge is never built for its own sake. It is built because there is an obstacle, and because something of value has to reach the other side. That is the whole of what this firm does. On one side, an asset whose worth is real. On the other, the counterparty who would recognise it. Between them, whatever is standing in the way.

The mark is a cantilever: two anchored arms reaching inward toward a centre span. The piers are discipline. The truss webbing is the analytical work that prepares each side to connect. The gold centre span is the moment of connection — the only element in the identity rendered in gold, because it is the only part that is the point.

The bridge is the method. Motus is what it carries.

Reach

Where the work happens

MotusBridge works across the United States, Europe, and Africa. Much of the commercialization practice originates in markets where research capability is strong and commercial infrastructure is thin — and where a credible asset can sit unrecognised for years for want of anyone who knows which door to knock on.

Let’s establish what’s actually true.
